| The User Interface
MTI utilizes industry standard EloTouch© monitors and HP© computers to run our touchscreen viewing software, ProVision©. All MTI software is engineered, maintained, and supported from our office in the U.S.A. Our software is designed for backwards-compatibility and efficiency in mind, and our applications are specifically designed to target the detention market. MTI provides applications for system development and operation.
| ProDesign.Net |
Touchscreen Design software that provides a drag-and-drop approach to touchscreen layout.
|
| PLC Software.Net |
A Spreadsheet-style application that provides a programmer interface to our PLC line.
|
| ProVision.Net |
Full-featured touchscreen viewing software.
|
| Alarm Reporting.Net |
Reporting software designed to provide customizable reports from activity logs.

All MTI software comes with a life-time warranty. This means that, should MTI release a new version of software for the operating system your system runs after you have purchased it, you may receive this new version, free of charge.
MTI also manufactures hard-graphics panels that integrate to our PLC system. MTI is a UL Listed panel shop, and all panels are manufactured at MTI's main office in the U.S.A.

| Programmable Logic Controller |
|
| The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
From the beginning MTI has been committed to producing high-quality products that are designed specifically for the detention market. The major component of our arsenal has always been our Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Most other systems integrators attempt to use a PLC that is designed for use in an automotive plant and has a support lifespan of around 5 years. But, MTI has sought to design and manufacture PLCs that we intend to support for at least 10 years. Our PLC design also takes into consideration that large number of inputs and outputs that are required for the automation of a detention facility. Our current PLC, the Embedded Controller, will manage 4096 inputs and outputs!
MTI also aims to address the challenges of detention controls with state-of-the-art technology. The Embedded Controller communicates via an IP-based network, which simplifies wiring, networking, and lightning protection. Because of the ubiquitous nature of IP-based systems, you can expect to be able to maintain your MTI system and receive replacement parts for years to come.

| The MTI Decoder |
|
| The MTI Data Loop
The MTI Data loop is a protocol that MTI developed at the very start that governs the inputs and outputs of the system. It allows our system to take inputs from the field and encode them onto a serial stream that gets the information back to the PLC so that it can make a decision. It also decodes outputs from the PLC to activate field devices.
The unique thing about the data loop is that in over 20 years of business, MTI has not changed the data loop protocol one bit. What does this mean for you? It means that you can buy MTI parts today that are backwards-compatible with the parts you already have. For example, MTI has manufactured three generations of our data loop decoder (part #81050,150, and 650). This decoder is responsible for encoding and decoding the MTI data loop. If your jail has a 15 year old 81050 that finally bights the dust, we can ship you a brand new 81650 that will plug in right in its place. This is all possible because of the MTI Data Loop and our commitment to long-term system support.

| Locking Termination Board |
|
| Field Termination
MTI provides field termination boards that are robust and proven in the detention market. These boards provide UL listed components that stand heavy use and demand. Our termination boards typically provide 16 inputs and outputs per board and daisy chain into our MTI data loop. We provide termination boards for locking control, lighting control, card reader inputs, and dry contact inputs and outputs. MTI also manufactures UL listed Form C mechanical relays that work in both AC and DC applications.
